St. Thomas Aquinas was greatly influenced by Aristotle. Aquinas attended the
University of Napes for five years. He then joined the Dominicans in 1244.
However, he did not have his family’s support in this decision and they held him captive for a year. He later returned to the Dominicans. He is known as the greatest theologian of the Middle Ages era. Aquinas was made priest in 1250. He wrote the Summa theologic, which explains the Christian faith, the existence of God and humanity.Aquinas explained a series of questions and ways of doing things that help us in life today.
